Mary was born in Jackson County, Iowa and married Frank Godfrey 6-7-1894 in Maquoketa, Jackson, Iowa. Frank was the publisher of Banks and Bankers in Chicago, Illinois. They also lived in New York. They had two children. Mary died in Tucson, Pima, Arizona and is buried at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa, Iowa.
