Krumwiede & Brickman 1900 Census

BRICKMAN, BRUGMAN, BRUGMANN, KRUMVIEDE, KRUMWIEDE

Researching the Brickman/Brugmann line in Jackson County.

My wife's grandmother, Emma Sophia Brickman, is enumerated in the 1900 census, Iowa Twp., Jackson Co., along with who I believe to be a younger sister, both in the household of John Krumwiede and his mother Anna Krumwiede. Emma is listed as "Servant" and the younger Minnie Brickman listed as "Niece".

We are trying to determine how Emma and Minnie are related to these Krumwiedes since the reference to "Niece" should be to the head of household.

Would love to hear from anyone who can share some insight on this relationship.
