Winifred "Winnie" Cahalan / Callahan / Calhoun b. in Galena, IL was raised to adulthood by the Alexander Reed family of Washington Twp., Jackson Co., IA. She later married Perry Lamborn in 1857.

According to her obiturary, Winnie was left homeless at an early age and she was given a home by Alexander Reed and his wife of Washington Twp., Jackson Co., IA, where she grew to womanhood. It was in this home that she married Perry Lamborn. A pall bearer at her funeral included a John Callahan.

According to 1880 census, Winnie's mother and father were both born Ireland.

I would like to hear from anyone with info on the Reed family.
