Koehler & Geertz families

KOEHLER AND GEERTZ

I am interested in finding information about the Koehler family (Frank; Trina; and their children Mary (married name: Geertz), Katrina, Anna, Ida Christine (married name: Guldner), Augunatia (married name: Behan), Jacob Jochim, Herman H., Augusta (married name: Schroeder), Franz Jacob, and Heinrich Nicholas. Frank and Mary were both born in Schleswig-Holstein; emigrated to Davenport, Iowa; and moved to Sabula in 1884 where they purchased the old McElroy farm. Later, they sold this farm and purchased the McCabe place. Here they resided until 1902 when they purchased a home in Sabula. Frank Koehler died in Sabula on March 20, 1906 and wife Katrina died in Sabula on April 24, 1908.

The Koehler's daughter Mary (Mary Wilhelmine Geertz née Koehler) and her family moved from Davenport to Sabula and lived there for awhile in the 1880's before returning to Davenport.
