Do you know what company he was suppose to serve in during the Civil War ? Maybe look in Iowa Civil war rooster to see what company. Try 24th or 26th Iow infantry. My grandfather was from Preston area and was in the 26th. There is a cemetary in Bellevue right outside town by railraod tracks try there for tombstone
