Alfred E Lafayette

I have a recently-discovered great-grandfather, Alfred E Lafayette. Alfred and my great-grandmother, Elda Huebbe, had one child out of wedlock before his death at a young age. The child's name was Wilfred Gerald Huebbe, born in Jackson county on July 29, 1926.

I am told that Alfred died in a grain elevator accident sometime around then. I found a cemetery record for A E Lafayette in Mt Hope cemetery with a deat year of 1932. So the 6 year gap makes me a bit curious.

Any info about Alfred would be appreciated.
