Mathias DeMuth

Hello,
I have a mystery on my hands, I am trying to find out what happened to Mathias DeMuth. I found him on the 1860 Census living in St. Donatus, Iowa with his wife Mary and one son John.
I have found Mathias listed on various baptism records as a sponsor from the St. Donatus Catholic Church.
That is all the records that I have found him on. I think he passed away sometime between 1860-1865. His wife Mary took there son's to Winona, Minnesota where she remarried to a man by the name of Patrick Coe in October of 1865.
I am trying to find out where Mathias DeMuth is buried and when he died.

Any help would be appreciated!
