John, Contact the Jackson co. Genealogical & Historical Society in Maquoketa for their assistance in locating the cemetery for Val. When you narrow down the Sept. 1981 death date contact the Bellevue or Maquoketa libraries for obit archives. The 1930 Chicago, Cook co. census has a single, 30 y/o Illini born Val Rutkowski enumerated as a nephew in the household of Stanley & Frances Rutkowski. Dick
