DIED-

Eliza Haskell-
A special dispatch of May 23rd from Independence to the Dubuque Herald says:
“A patient in the insane asylum, from Jackson county, named Mrs. Eliza Haskell, committed suicide last night by hanging herself from her bed-post. The coroner held an inquest this morning, and returned a verdict in accordance with the facts.” The body of Mrs. Haskell arrived on Tuesday and was interred yesterday. A large concourse of friends and relatives were in attendance at the funeral ceremonies. Sad indeed are the melancholy circumstances which induced this estimable woman to commit suicide.
