RONALD DUHME

MAQUOKETA — Ronald A. “Ronnie” Duhme, 49, of Maquoketa, died Wednesday at his home.

There will be a celebration of his life at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Bridgeport Cemetery, rural Maquoketa.

He was born Feb. 14, 1956, in Maquoketa to Raymond A. and Arlene A. Jessen Duhme. He married Marianne McNamee on June 19, 1982, in Maquoketa. He then married April Thompson on June 17, 1989, in Ottawa, Ill.

He graduated from Andrew High School.

He worked at Mel’s Super Valu, Maquoketa, for many years. He then farmed with his father in the LaMotte area and worked at Tubbs Orchard, Maquoketa, for a couple of years. He also was an umpire in the area for many years.

Survivors include his wife; children, Deidra Duhme and Tony (Amanda) Duhme, both of Clinton, Amber Duhme, Tiffany Duhme, Matthew Duhme and Sara Duhme, all of Maquoketa; one brother, Allan Duhme of Illinois; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis Duhme of Preston.

A Ronald A. “Ronnie” Duhme Memorial Fund has been established.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters
