Christina Fredericka Daehler, age 84, of Maquoketa , Iowa died Friday afternoon Dec 12, 2003, at the Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.
Funeral services, will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday Dec 15, 2003 from Carson and Son Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Maquoketa ,Iowa. Burial will be in The Mount Hope Cemetery in Maquoketa ,Iowa.
Christina F. Daehler was born May 25,1918 in Jackosn Co., Iowa to Charles and Julia Ingwersen Yappen. She had attended county schools in Jackson Co. Iowa. She married Henry E. Daehler October 24,1936 in Clinton, Iowa. He preceded her in death on May 15,1998.
Christina F. Daehler had worked at Clinton Engines in Maquoketa for many years, first on the assembly line,and later transferring to the service department. At one time her and her husband had also own and operated several hotels in Illinois.
Mrs Daehler was a member of the First United Methodist Church, in Maquoketa, Iowa. She loved to traveling , flowers and gardening. She enjoyed volunteering at the Maquoketa Care Center
She is survived by children Lonna (Mrs. Gary) Schurbon, Betty (Mrs. Doug) Miller and son Larry (Carole) Daehler all of Maquoketa, Iowa, a sister Enda Tracy of Baldwin , Iowa ; 9 grandchildren , & 12 great-grandchildren; & a sister-in-law LaVonne Yappen of Maquoketa, Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents , a brother, a sister, 1/2 brother ,& 1/2 sister.
