Patricia I. Adler, 70, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Saturday, October 1, 2005, at Jackson County Public Hospital, Maquoketa, following an extended illness.Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2005, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Maquoketa. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Maquoketa. Friends may call 4-8 p.m. Tuesday at Lahey Funeral Home, Maquoketa, where a vigil service will be 7 p.m. Memorials are preferred.
Patricia Inez Finn was born September 25, 1935, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the daughter of Leo M. and Annette (Hughes) Finn. She attended school at St. Mary's School, Cascade, Iowa. She married Marlin Adler on October 3, 1953, in Lake City, Minn. He died on October 11, 1993. She was a homemaker and worked at Clinton Engines and the Fishing Tackle in Maquoketa for several years.
She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. She loved to play cards (especially poker), bingo, crocheting, and she loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy (Daryl) Poll, Maquoketa; three sons, Richard (Pat) Adler, of Wyoming, Steven Adler, and Terry ( Julie) Adler, of Maquoketa; seven grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren; one sister, Shirley (Darrell) Ostert, DeWitt, Iowa; two brothers, Donald Finn, of Marshalltown, Iowa, and Kenneth (Betty) Finn, of Las Vegas, Nev; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, and one brother.
