SCOTCH GROVE - Funeral services for Mrs. Hattie Streets, 86, Monmouth, were held in the Monmouth Methodist church Thursday afternoon, March 11, with the Rev. Lyle Meester in charge. Mrs. John Allen served as organist and Harry Hicks, jr., was the soloist. Mrs. Streets died Monday evening in the Jackson County Public hospital following a very brief illness.

Hattie Yarolem was born Nov. 22, 1884, the daughter of John and Barbara Kubert Yarolem. On Dec. 20, 1905, she married Thomas Streets. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors Lodge; Gold Star auxiliary and was a Gold Star mother. She had become a frequent visitor in Scotch Grove of her grandson, Thomas G. Streets.

Survivors include two sons, John, Monmouth; and Theodore, Whittier, Calif.; one brother, Charles, Maquoketa; two sisters, Mrs. Sylvia Trinka, Oxford Junction; and Mrs. Emma Streets, Clinton; three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three sons, seven brothers and three sisters.

Carson's Funeral home of Maquoketa was in charge of the services. Pallbearers were Timm Voelkers, Dillon Streets, George Yarolem, William Yarolem, Dale Yarolem and Rex Yarolem. Burial was made in the Monmouth cemetery.
