Civil War Veteran Dies.
The death of Louis Cottet, a former Jackson county man reveals strikingly the extent to which the ranks of the Civil War veterans are being thinned. Mr. Cottet who was once a resident of Bellevue, but who lived for a number of years has lived in Crookston, Minn., where he died was the next to the last member of Col. Cobham post of the G. A. R. of Crookston. He was a ember of the 147th regiment of New York volunteers and was honorably discharged in 1865. The sole survivor of that post is J. C. Sargent. Mr. Collet's death was due to a stroke of paralysis. He is survived by his wife, a former Jackson county woman, five sons and three daughters.
