Former Resident Dies.
According to word which just reached here M. L. Williams, a former resident and merchant of Maquoketa, passed away at a hospital in Tacoma, Wash., after an illness of almost two years. He was born 66 years ago in Union county Penn., and came to Iowa in 1878. After residing in Maquoketa many years he went west and has lived in Tacoma, Wash., for the past number of years. He is survived by one son, James e. of Tacoma and one daughter, Mrs. Belle Schwesinger of Big Harbor, Wash., one brother W. E. Williams of this city and one sister Mrs. M. Ellen Barker of San Jose, Calif.
