The funeral of George Glaser, for 57 years a resident of Jackson County was held from the home yesterday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. Mr. Glaser passed away Monday afternoon at 5:30 after an illness of not much over 24 hours. He had not been in good health for some time, but he had been able to be about until Sunday when he was taken suddenly ill, rapidly growing worse until the end. He was 80 years old born in wardenburg Germany in 1810 he came to America when a young man and has spent most of his life in Maquokets. His wife preceded him in death nine years ago. He is survived by 3 daughters Miss Magdalena and Mrs Palmer both of Davenport and Mrs Frieda Jensen of this city and 2 brothers Fred and Chris both of this city.
