Margaret Marie Fleming, 81, of Lost Nation, died Wednesday, Feb. 14, 1990 at her home in Lost Nation.

Margaret was born Oct. 20, 1908 at Davenport. She attended school in Toronto and later attended Clarke College in Dubuque.

Jan. 15, 1935, she married Herman (Skip) Fleming. He died in September, 1965.

For several years Margaret worked as a secretary and bookkeeper for the town of Lost Nation and later as a secretary for the Lost Nation Schools, retiring in 1978.

Margaret was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Lost Nation.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Don (Rochelle) Busch of Lost Nation and Mrs. William (Lynn) O'Conner of Weymouth, Mass.; and two granddaughters.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Flip.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Feb. 17 at Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Lost Nation, the Rev. Craig Bowyer officiating. Burial was in Lost Nation Cemetery. Casketbearers were Gay Mohl, Brent Blake, John, David and Norman Sievers. Hayden Funeral Home of Lost Nation was in charge of arrangements.
