Conductor S. S. Howard, of Savanna, Ill., was instantly killed at Sabula by a C., M. & St. P. train. His widow, four brothers, and two sisters survive. One of the former is Dr. Banner Howard, recently of Iowa City, now a resident of Cedar Rapids.
