Maquoketa, Ia., Dec. 29--Mrs. Emory Mills, who had been a resident of this city for the past several months, passed away last Thursday evening at 12 o'clock at the Ora Good home on South Second street. Mrs. Mills was ill only a few hours, death being caused by heart failure.

Mrs. Mills, whose maiden name was Grace Lakaff, was born in Delmar on December 28, 1891. She resided there until her marriage five years ago when she moved to Cedar Rapids and only a short time ago coming to this city.

Besides her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Lakaff of Delmar, she leaves her husband and two small children. Also two brothers and three sisters, Frank of Delmar, Jacob of Savanna, Mrs. George Ray, Mrs. Wm. Davis and Mrs. Wm. Wilson of Delmar.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon from the home of the parents in Delmar. Interment was made in the Delmar cemetery.
