A. M. Finch, an old time resident of Clinton and Jackson counties, passed away today at his home in Miles, aged about 80 years.

The deceased who was a member of DeMolay consistory, A.A.S.R. of this city, was well known in Clinton. For a number of years he had made his home in Lyons. Mr. Finch was a retired farmer, and was one of the best known citizens of Miles.

The funeral will be held at one o'clock Monday afternoon from the late home in Miles. A number of friends of the deceased from this city will attend the obsequies.

The funeral of the late A. M. Finch occurred at Miles, Iowa, yesterday afternoon and was largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. N. A. McAulay and Rev. Perkins, S. Slocum of this city, Rev. Lockard and Rev. Skiles of Miles. Thirty Masons from Lyons, Clinton, Miles and Preston were in line. The floral offerings were many and beautiful.

Those who attended the casket were Messrs. Arthur Bates, Charles Denick, Harry Miles, Arthur Kellogg, William Hansen, Ralph Watts. Burial was made in the Miles cemetery. The Masons from Lyons who attended were: Rev. N. A. McAulay, Rev. Perkins, S. Slocum, F. C. Brayton, W. J. Shadduck, Milo J. Gabriel, August Johnson, H. C. Heldt, W. H. Childs and J. L. Carey.

Among the relatives who attended were: Mathew Finch, Lyons; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Finch, Lyons; Mr. Briggs, Fulton; Mr. and Mrs. K. Farley, Fulton; Al Reid, Clinton.
