Maquoketa, Ia., Feb. 24--Lucius Bradburry Russell died at the age of 62 years, six months and 18 days, being born August 5, 1852. Mr. Russell was one of Jackson county's staunch farmers. He was born in Jackson county but came from good old New England stock. He has been in very poor health for several years.

He leaves a wife and three sons, Harry, living on the Cunningham farm; Bruce, who is studying for the ministry at University Park, and Frank on the home farm six miles east of town. The funeral was held this afternoon at 1 o'clock at Union Center. Rev. Williams of Delmar officiated and the remains were laid to rest in Union Center cemetery.
