page 7Preston, Iowa, Oct. 16--Jane Cliff was born near Preston, Iowa, April 20, 1882 and died at Glenwood, Iowa, Oct. 11, 1917, at the age of 35 years, 5 months and 22 days.
About two years ago she was stricken with an acute attack of heart trouble but by immediate and competent help she recovered and enjoyed apparently good health until a few days prior to her death when she suffered a similar attack and nothing could be done for her relief. She leaves to mourn her departure, a father, C. A. Cliff and wife, Bertie Cliff, of Preston, Iowa; one sister, Mrs. John Grant and many other relatives and friends, her mother having preceeded her to her reward five years ago.
Funeral services were held from the Congregational church Saturday, Oct. 13, conducted by the pastor, Rev. C. E. Waudby. Interment was made in the Preston cemetery.
