Maquoketa, Ia., Sept. 10--James H. Waugh, a highly respected citizen, who has been in feeble health for several years, passed away Sunday, Sept. 9th, aged 86 years, 5 months and 26 days. He was born in Ireland Feb. 14, 1831; came to Iowa at an early date, and was a successful farmer for a number of years southwest of Monmouth, Iowa. After he gave up farming he moved to Maquoketa and ran a wagon shop, and for the past 12 or 15 years has lived a retired life. His wife preceded him eight or nine years ago. He leaves to mourn his loss two sons, Fred Waugh, of near Monmouth, and a son in the west. No funeral arrangements have as yet been made.
