Maquoketa, Aug. 29--The funeral of Charles Knorr was held from the residence this afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Mr. Knorr was born in Beaver Dam, Wis. on July 31, 1861, and came to Iowa when a young boy.

On April 14, 1886, he was united in marriage to Miss Sarah Potter, who died many years ago. On Dec. 28, 1892, he was married to Miss Libbie Mericle, who survives.

Mr. Knorr was a man of integrity and worth and his death has caused grieving not only in his family but among his many friends.

Besides the wife he is survived by the following sons, Claude, of Pocatello, Idaho; and Arthur and Clifford of this city, also three brothers and two sisters, namely Henry, George and Frank Knorr of Beaver Dam, Wis.; Mrs. Rudolph Heyse of Colorado Springs and Mrs. George Taft of this city.
