Bellevue, Iowa, Oct. 6--Mr. Anton Kamp, an old and respected pioneer business man has answered the last roll call at the age of 73 years and eight months. Deceased was born in Germany, where he remained until the age of 21 and learned the butcher trade. He came to Bellevue in 1868 and opened a meat market in partnership with J. W. Weck, which later was dissolved and he worked for a time in the Born meat market, later forming a partnership with Adam Schmidt and late bought out and continued the business with the help of his son John up to the time of his death, though for several years his health has been such that he was not able to do much of the work. The funeral was held from St. Joseph's church and burial made in the Catholic cemetery beside his wife. He leaves two sons, two daughters and four grand-children to mourn his loss, they being the only relatives in this country.
