Services were held Saturday, November 27, 1976, at the Monmouth Methodist Church for Dillon Streets, 58, of Monmouth. Burial was in the Monmouth Cemetery.
Streets was killed Wednesday, November 24, 1976, in a farm accident. He had become entangled in the power takeoff of a tractor and grinder he was operating on a farm just east of Monmouth. He was working alone and was discovered by a veterinarian, who stopped at the farm.
Mr. Streets was born November 11, 1918 in Brainerd, Minnesota, the son of Dillon and Emma Yarolem Streets. He was married December 24, 1940 to Catherine Caraway. He was actively engaged in farming near Monmouth.
Survivors include his mother; wife; one daughter, Mrs. Jim (Joy) Gnade of Monmouth; two sons, Dennis of Maquoketa and Stephen of Wyoming; eight grandchildren; one brother, Horce of Clinton; and two sisters, Mrs. Alice Oltman and Mrs. Eleanor Froman, both of Clinton.
He was preceded in death by his father.
