Maquoketa, Ia., April 18--It seemed as though the whole country for miles around Baldwin turned out to pay their last respects to Fred Barrows, and take a farewell look at his remains Tuesday afternoon. Every available space in the little city was filled with vehicles of every kind, with scores of autos from almost everywhere. Rev. John Dawson of the M. E. church preached a very touching sermon. The Knights of Pythias male quartet furnished the music. At the grave Clarence Ely gave the beautiful Pythian service and the choir sang a selection which touched the tenderest heart strings of many men, who wept in sympathy with the bereaved wife and relatives. The day being perfect Peerless lodge turned out in very large numbers.
