29 March 1917 - The Clinton Advertiser page 5

Maquoketa, Iowa, March 29--Word came from Beaumont, Texas, a few days ago, advising friends here of the death of Mrs. Barnhardt Eisentraut, for many years a resident of this city, prior to 1902 when the family moved to Texas, and have since made their home at Beaumont. About four months ago Mrs. Eisentraut suffered a stroke of paralysis, the effects of which caused her death.

She was a true Christian lady and her death will be mourned by many friends here. Besides her husband there survive five daughters, Mrs. Will Shrigley, Mrs. Frank Doubrawa, Emma and Zetta of Beaumont, Mrs. Harry Griffin of New York, and two sons John of Beaumont and Charles of Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
