Maquoketa, Ia. April 16--About 9:30 o'clock this morning Fred Albin, a prominent Maquoketa clothing merchant, departed this life. Although he had been ailing for some time, his passing came as a shock to all.

Maquoketa, Iowa, April 17--Fred Aldin's spirit left his body about 9 o'clock Monday morning after patient suffering for about two years.

He was a clean, upright man, temperate in habits, an advocate of temperance, fearless in expressing his sentiments on the side of right and justice. He served faithfully 4 years as deputy treasurer under Hugh Tracy and had been in the clothing business with is son, Clyde, a good many years.

Mr. Aldin was born Jan. 2, 1864, was 53 years, 3 months and 14 days of age.

He leaves to mourn his loss a devoted wife and three sons, Clyde, Norman of Maquoketa and Harold, who graduated from Ames college last year, and is employed by one of the largest electrical companies in the world at Syracuse, N.Y.

Maquoketa, Ia. April 20--The funeral of F. C. Aldin was largely attended from the home Wednesday. Mrs. D. B. Marlow read the Christian Science service at the house, while Helion lodge, No. 36, of Masons, took charge of the beautiful service at the grave. Guy Morse delivered it in a very impressive manner.
