Obituary for David Edward Lee Sr.
David Edward Lee, Sr. passed away in his home in Sabula, IA, Thursday, July 18, 2019. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at Law Jones Funeral Home in Savanna, IL. Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery in Sabula, IA, immediately following the service. A memorial fund has been established in David’s name.

David was born March 24, 1955 in Dodgeville, WI, the son of David H. Lee and Rita (Jorgensen) Jenkins. He attended school in Livingston, WI, graduating from Iowa-Grant High School in Livingston, in 1973. Following high school, David enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving four years. He was a military police officer for much of his time in the service. In 1979 he graduated from Southwest Tech in Fennimore, WI.

David spent many of his working years, with Moore Business Forms in Monroe, WI. He had a knack for mechanical work; working as a machinist, operating printing presses. In his later years with the company, David moved to the sales and marketing side, excelling in his new position. In his free time, he loved to take to the skies. He was a licensed pilot and owned his own plane for a period of time. David always enjoyed the outdoors. He loved spending his summer days on the Mississippi River and at Sabula Lake, camping and boating with his family.

David will be dearly missed by his two daughters, Stephanie Lee of Madison, WI, and Alexandria Lee of Brodhead, WI; one son, David Lee, Jr. of Dubuque, IA; four sisters, Teena (Doug) Franzen of Sabula, IA, Melody (Jeff) Loy of Dodgeville, WI, Michelle (Mike Wallace) Marshall of Sabula, IA, and Elizabeth (Mark) Lee of Coolidge, GA; three brothers, Scott (Angi) Lee of Maquoketa, IA, Tom (Sandy) Lee of West Bend, WI, and Skip (Brenda) Lee of Wisconsin; one granddaughter, Kennedy Steinmann; his former wives, Deb Dressen and Dorene Beck; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

David is preceded in death by his father, his brother Bobby Staver, and his stepfather Bill Jenkins.
