Alice E. Lingel, 107, of Maquoketa, Iowa, passed away on Saturday morning, July 20, 2019, at Maquoketa Care Center in Maquoketa, Iowa.

A graveside service and burial celebrating her life will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday, July 27, 2019 at Streets Cemetery, rural Maquoketa, Iowa. There is no visitation. The Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa is caring for the family.

Alice E. Green was born on March 22, 1912 in Jackson County, Iowa, to Henry and Agnes (Ralston) Green. She married Harry Wylie on March 4, 1932 in Sterling, Illinois. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1974. She later married Andrew John Lingel on April 5, 1947 in Sterling, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Alice had worked at the Savanna Ordinance Depot in her younger years. Upon her marriage, she became a homemaker. She enjoyed artwork painting, and walking.

Those left to honor her memory include a daughter-in-law, Beverly Wylie of Maquoketa, IA; 5 grandchildren, Jim, Doug, Howard, Cindy and Terry; and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Harry and her husband Andrew, 2 brothers, 2 sisters, sons Harvey and Robert, and a grandson Joel.
