page 7Maquoketa, Ia., March 24--John Stutting was relieved of his suffering at the county farm Friday morning, March 23, 17, when the angel of death bore his spirit home from whence no traveler returns.
He was born in Iowa, Aug. 10, 1851, being 65 years, 7 months and 13 days old. His father was born in England and came to America in an early day.
He leaves a wife and two daughters to mourn his loss, Mrs. Fred Clarkson of Lost Nation, and Mrs. John Holst, of Maquoketa.
The funeral was held at 2 o'clock today, Rev. Boomershine officiating. Interment in Union cemetery.
