An Old Resident Instantly Killed

MAQUOKETA, Iowa, April 18 – Asa Davis, an old resident of this place, had his head mashed almost to a jelly by the precipitation of his wagon down an embankment. As he and his son were driving into town the horses shied to one side just after crossing the bridge, which caused the wagon to roll over and over. His son escaped with slight injuries.
