Maquoketa, Iowa, Oct. 19--The funeral of the late Mrs. Daniel F. Scheib will be held tomorrow at the home at 2 o'clock and from the Baptist church at 2:30. Rev. C. W. Fletcher will officiate and she will be laid to rest in the Buckhorn cemetery.

Mrs. Scheib was a faithful worker in the Baptist church of which she was a member. She was a kind, thoughtful neighbor, and never was heard to criticize unkindly. She was an honored member of Pope Rebekah lodge D. of R. She leaves her husband, four daughters, Mrs. Minnie Servatius of Anaheim, Cal., Mrs. Grace Smith of Chicago, Mrs. Lulu Mayerhoefer and Miss Thelma at home. Also two sons, Melvin, an army officer now stationed at Jacksonville, Fla., and Dr. Alvin of Hitchcock, S.D., all the children being expected to reach here to attend the funeral.

Mrs. Hulda Kinsey Scheib was born on May 7, 1855, at Dayton, Ohio, and with her parents came to Iowa the following year, they settling not far from Monmouth, where she spent her childhood and early womanhood. On December 25, 1873, she was united in marriage to Daniel F. Scheib, and for many years they resided on a farm north of Nashville which they sold about fourteen years ago, moving to this city and purchasing a home on West Platt street.
