Maquoketa, Ia. Oct.2--The funeral of Mrs. D. H. Eaton, whose remains were brought to this city from Eagle Bend, Minn., was held this afternoon from the Buchner chapel, Rev. Fletcher of the Baptist church officiating.

Mrs. Mary Wood Eaton was born at Ticondiroga, N.Y., Sept. 28, 18??, and came to Iowa in 1855. She was united in marriage on July 16th, 1870, to D. H. Eaton, who with six children survive. Until thirteen years ago Mr. and Mrs. Eaton made this vicinity their home, residing about four miles northwest of town. They then moved to Eagle Bend, Minn., where they have since made their home. Besides the husband, the following named children survive: Mrs. Mary Colipriest, Ayrshire, Iowa; Mrs. Zetta Hopkin, Eagle Bend, Minn.; Mrs. Mina Wright, of Chicago; Mrs. Laura Bradley of Davenport; Mrs. Lulu Schneckloth of Davenport; Buren R. Eaton, Eagle Bend, Minn. Two sisters, Mrs. T. K. Nickerson of Maquoketa and Mrs. Daniel Wilcox, of Sac City, Iowa also survive. The funeral was largely attended and interment was made at Mt. Hope cemetery.
