Maquoketa, Iowa, Nov. 18--Funeral services of David C. Mishler were held yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Dr. J. G. Morgan officiated and interment was made in Mt. Hope. The Masonic order of which Mr. Mishler had been a faithful member for 45 years had charge of the services at the cemetery. Lodge No. 60 K. of P. of which he was a charter member attended in a body.

Mr. Mishler is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Blanche Reynolds.

David C. Mishler was born in Magadore, Stark county, Ohio, June 11, 1837, making him at the time of death, Wednesday Nov. 15, 1916, 79 years, 5 months and 4 days old.

He came to Jackson county in 1850. He taught several terms of school in the Keystone district near Monmouth. It was there he became acquainted with Miss Mary Jane Pence and was married to her Jan. 1, 1865. Mrs. Mishler passed away September 14, 1913.

For thirteen years Mr. Mishler efficiently filled the office of county clerk for Jackson county, and for twenty-five years he was associated with the O. McCaffrey Cigar Co. It was just two years ago that Mr. Mishler was compelled to give up active life on account of ill health.
