Baldwin, Ia., Feb. 26 --Mrs. John Scott of Baldwin, who fell and broke her hip a few days ago passed away Friday morning at 8 o'clock. Mrs. Phoebe Cobb Scott will not only be mourned by the one daughter, three sons and two step-sons, but by several brothers and sisters and near relatives and many friends, to who she had extended the hospitality of her home in by-gone days, her motherly qualities having earned for her the title of "Mother Scott". Deceased would have reached the ripe age of 84 years had she lived until April 29, 1916. The funeral will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the M.E. church, a short family service being held at the home just previously.
