Bellevue, Ia. Feb. 9--At the Ernest homestead on Big Mill Creek Saturday afternoon occurred the death of Mrs. Antone Ernest, aged 76 years. Mrs. Ernest had suffered much, being a victim of asthma for many years, and recently suffered a painful accident. Her demise has been expected many times during the past few months, but the aged lady would rally to the surprise of her family and friends.

Deceased was born in Germany in 1839 and came to America in 1860, shortly after being married to Antone Ernest, who with eight children, five sons and three daughters, survive to mourn her death. The funeral was held Tuesday from the Bellevue Lutheran church. Services were conducted by her pastor, Mr. Ernest Mutschman. Interment was made in the Lutheran cemetery south of Bellevue.
