Sabula, Feb. 9--The funeral of the late Geo. Manning was held Monday. George Manning was 39 years old. He was born in Thomas, Ill., and from there he moved to Dixon, Ill., where he received his schooling. From there he moved to the town of Sabula, Iowa.

He died Thursday in Muscatine, Iowa, where he lived the past few years. He was married to Marjorie Bahn of Sabula. He is survived by his wife, father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. George Manning, one sister, of Cedar Rapids, and one brother of Lamar, Oregon. The service was held at the Congregational church at one o'clock, Rev. E. F. Muir as pastor. Beautiful songs were sung by Mr. Hudson, Mr. Stodden, Miss Petersen and Miss Weithe, and Mrs. Jessie Dyres as organist. The remains were laid to rest in the evergreen cemetery.
