Faith Ellen Grover, 70, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died on Friday afternoon, December 20, 2013, at the Genesis Medical Center, East Campus, in Davenport, Iowa.

A celebration of Faith's life will be held at 11 A.M., Saturday December 28, 2013, from the Carson Celebration of Life in Maquoketa, Iowa. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 9:30 to 11 A.M. on Saturday. Burial will be at the Canton, Iowa cemetery.

Faith Ellen Reyner was born on May 14, 1943 in Maquoketa, Iowa, to Harlan James and Jennie I. (Hayner) Reyner. She grew up in Maquoketa and graduated from Maquoketa High School. She married Wilbur Lee Grover on August 22, 1959, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, Iowa, and to this union two children were born, Tim and Debbie.

Faith was a homemaker, and worked as a private home health caretaker for many years. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa.

Faith loved to cook and bake, play Bingo and go to the casino. She loved her family and especially enjoyed sharing her gift of cooking with everyone.

Those left to honor Faith's memory include her husband, Wilbur Grover of Maquoketa, IA: children, Tim (Ruth) Gover of Miles, IA, and Debbie (Roy) Wilhelm of Maquoketa, IA; 3 grandchildren, Michael (Amy, Fisher, Sondra (Mike) Powers, and Jasmin (Ben) Schmidt; 10 great-grand-children, Christian Lee Keith Schmidt, Emma Kay Schmidt, Donnie Olson, Logan Brundage, Tanner Brundage, Caleb Fisher, Justin Fisher, Tyler Michels, Austin Michels, and Faith Michels; sisters Rosemary Powers of Davenport, IA, and Norma Bowe of St. Cloud, MN; and a sister-in-law, Elka Reyner of Irvin, CA. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister Evelyn Hottenstein, and brothers, Donald and Harlan James.

In lieu of other expressions of sympathy, a Faith Ellen Grover memorial fund has been established.
