Leonora L. Felderman, 87, of Heritage Manor, formerly of 2655 Washington St., died Saturday, July 29, 2006, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church. Burial will be in St. John Cemetery, St. Donatus, Iowa. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at Egelhof, Siegert & Casper Westview Funeral Home, 2659 Kennedy Road. Friends also may call after 9:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

She was born on Sept. 4, 1918, in La Motte, Iowa, daughter of William and Louise (Schlesch) Schroeder.

She married Erwin L. Felderman on July 19, 1946; he preceded her in death on Feb. 12, 1976. They farmed near St. Donatus for 30 years. They loved to play euchre with their many friends in Dubuque and Bellevue, Iowa. They moved to Dubuque in 1975.

She enjoyed baking cookies for her friends and neighborhood children, and was known as the "baker lady." Her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, most of her life, and a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church since her move to Dubuque.

Surviving are a son, Erwin L. (Mary Jo) Felderman Jr., of Bellevue; two grandchildren, Tim Felderman, of Oelwein, Iowa, and Andrea (Jason) Boldt, of Toledo, Iowa; a brother, Willis "Bill" (Mary) Schroeder, of Farley, Iowa; two sisters, Sally (Kenneth) Trowbridge, of Dubuque, and Wilma "Willy" (Bill) Schuller, of Maquoketa, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and four brothers.

A Leonora Felderman Memorial Fund has been established.

The family would like to thank the Tom and Bev Pitz family and the Bill and Pat Doerr family for the last 30 years; it meant so much. Thank-you also to the staff and residents at Heritage Manor for the loving care given to Leonora.
