BELLEVUE, Iowa - Paul F. Hueneke, 77, of 303 N. 11th St., Bellevue, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 12, 2001, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, with the Rev. Judy Deckert officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where military rites will be accorded by the Bellevue American Legion. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, and after 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the church.

Mr. Hueneke farmed in the St. Donatus area until retiring and moving to Bellevue in 1992.

He was born on Nov. 15, 1923, in La Motte, son of Alfred and Amanda (Reeg) Hueneke. He married Joy Felderman on Nov. 22, 1949, in St. Donatus.

He was a World War II Army veteran. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, St. Donatus, Bellevue American Legion Reveille Post 273, and a former member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He enjoyed woodworking and playing cards with friends and family.

Surviving are his wife, Joy; a son, Mark (Tracey) Hueneke, of Bellevue; two daughters, Patricia Herrig, of Dubuque, Pamela (Bill) Kruse, of Cresco, Iowa; eight grandchildren, Christopher (Amy), Jason (Kelly), Nicholas and Amanda Hueneke, Bradley and Jeffrey Herrig and Rebecca and Michael Kruse; a great-granddaughter, Teagen Hueneke; and two sisters, Adela (George) Giesemann, of La Motte, and Mary Giesemann, of Bellevue.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and a granddaughter, Kimberly.
