OWEN McCarthy
Cascade, Ia. SPECIAL:- Owen McCarthy, aged 52, prominent and lifelong resident of Dubuque County, died at the home of his brother, Patrick McCarthy, Garryowen, at 1:30 o’clock Monday afternoon after an illness of two years.

The deceased was born in Garryowen, Feb, 28, 1882, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. William McCarthy, pioneer settlors of Garryowen.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Lawler, Dubuque; and two brothers, Patrick and William, Garryowen.

The funeral will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o’clock from St. Patrick’s Church of Garryowen and burial will be in the adjoining cemetery.
