John Malloy [sic s/b Meloy] Dead.

Bernard, la., Aug. 22. —John Malloy, a prominent farmer residing two miles south of Bernard, died Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock. He had been ill but a short time, although his health had been failing for some months. Mr. Malloy was 70 years old and his death is mourned by his wife and four daughters, Mrs. Wm. Dwyer, Mrs. D. L. McDonald, Miss Alberta, of Bernard, and Mrs. James Houlihan of Edgewood; four sons, Elmer, Walter, Louis and Joseph, of Bernard. There is also one sister, Miss Anna Malloy of Bernard, and three brothers, Francis and William, of Wisconsin, and Joseph, of Fairplay. Mr. Malloy was a devout Catholic and died fortified by the rites of his church.

The funeral services take place tomorrow (Friday) morning at St. Patrick's church, Garryowen.
