MRS. IRENE MILLS

Mrs. Irene (Noonan) Mills, age 74, died in Milwaukee, Wisc., Tuesday, Aug. 1, 1961 at 9 a.m.

Funeral services will be held Thursday from the Devaney Funeral Home to St. Patrick’s church, North Garryowen, at 9:30. Burial in the parish cemetery. The pastor, The Rev. James Cassidy, will officiate at the Requiem Mass and at the cemetery.

Born Nov. 25, 1886, at North Garryowen, she was a daughter of Richard and Elizabeth (Stanton) Noonan.

Her first husband, Joseph Moran, died in 1929. Frank Mills, her second husband, passed away in 1956. She had been a resident of Milwaukee for the past 35 years. Prior to that she lived at Cascade.

Survivors are 2 brothers, Walter Noonan of Prairieburg, Ia., and Harold Noonan of Bernard and Mrs. Joseph P. Noonan of Bernard.

Gravestone lists birth year as 1885 rather than 1886.

Joseph Moran actually died January 27, 1930 rather than 1929.
