Miss Katie O'Connell, age 18 years, died at the residence of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John O'Connell, near Garryowen, last Saturday. She had been ill for some months. Miss O'Connell was a most popular young lady in the neighborhood where she resided and her death was a deeply regretted occurrence. The bereaved parents and family have the sincere sympathy of their many friends throughout this section and the vicinity of their home.

The funeral took place Monday morning at St. Patrick's church and Rev. Father Kelly officiated in the solemn office of the dead, and a large concourse of neighbors and friends attended the obsequies.
