His Death is Mourned.

The entire community was shocked on Thursday evening when the news spread that death bad entered the borne of Andrew Noonan and taken from it the son James.

It brought to a close an illness which he had borne patiently for the past four months.

He was the eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Noonan, and was born Nov. 21, 1895, and died Aug. 24, 1918.

James was a young man of winning human qualities and was liked and respected by all who knew him. He had lived a life that should be an example for many to follow, and was rewarded at the last by a happy and peaceful death.

Besides his parents are left to mourn his death the following brothers and sisters: Daniel, Andrew, Joseph, Mrs. Wm. O'Connell of Temple Hill, Kathryn, Mayme and Bessie.

The funeral was held Monday morning at nine o'clock at St. Patrick's church, Garryowen, of which he was a devout member. Requiem High Mass was celebrated by Rev. P. J. Coffey. Interment was in St. Patrick's cemetery.

Pall-bearers were Richard Lynch, Wm. Lynch, Leo Noonan, Francis O'Connell, Frank McMahon and Harry Rollinger.
