JAMES NOONAN

James Noonan, 88, of Bernard, died at 1:00 a.m., Monday, November 11 at John McDonald Hospital, Monticello.

Friends called at Devaney Funeral Home in Cascade from where services were held to St. Patrick's Church, Garryowen, Wednesday morning, at 10 a.m. The Rev. Francis Phelan officiated at the Requiem Mass and the graveside services in St. Patrick's cemetery.

The deceased was born at North Garryowen, December 30, 1879, son of Edward and Mary (Hawks) Noonan. He farmed in the Garryowen area all his life until his retirement four years ago.

He is survived by 3 sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth Meloy, Bernard, Mrs. Theresa Redmond, Dubuque, Mrs. William (Josephine) Redmond, Cedar Rapids, many nieces and nephews.
