BELLEVUE, Iowa - Loretta T. Becker, 82, of 805 N. Second St., Bellevue, died Thursday afternoon, Aug. 19, 1999, at The Finley Hospital, Dubuque.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Bellevue, with the Rev. Stephen Meyer officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call from 3 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Kingery Funeral Home, Bellevue, where there will be a scripture service at 7 p.m.

Mrs. Becker worked at Riverview Hotel, Bellevue, following her move to Bellevue.

She was born on Nov. 10, 1916, in Key West, Iowa, daughter of William J. and Florence (Heacock) Kress.

She married Elmer J. Becker on Oct. 15, 1935, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Key West. They farmed four miles northwest of Bellevue until 1979, when they moved to Bellevue. Mr. Becker died in May, 1989.

She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church and the Bellevue senior citizens. She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and neighbors.

Surviving are a daughter, Darlene (Joe) Gleason, of Bellevue; a son, Dwain P. (Kris) Becker, of Winter Haven, Fla.; a grandson, Dan (Barb) Gleason, of Kieler, Wis.; two granddaughters, Kelli and Erin Becker, both of Winter Haven; four step-grandchildren, Diana (Mike) Weathers, Kara (Keith) Tamanini, Lea (Michael) Haynie and Craig Becker; two great-granddaughters, Tami and Amy Gleason; two step-great-grandsons, Joshua Becker and Jesse Weathers; and two sisters, Lucille Conlan, of Bernard, and Florence (Ralph) Friederick, of Fennimore, Wis.

She was also preceded in death by an infant son; a daughter, Judy Mae Becker, who died in June, 1997; five brothers, Art, Joe, Louie, Johnny and Arnold; and two sisters, Rita Mary and Clara.
