FUNERAL SERVICES FRO MRS. AMY CURRENT HELD THURSDAY

Mrs. Amy Current, 89, died at the home of her daughter-in-law, Mrs. Fortis Current, at 8:15 p.m., Tuesday. Mrs. Current, who had been an invalid for the past three and one half years, had been cared for by her daughter-in-law.

Mrs. Current was born May 1, 1843 in Guelph, Ontario, Canada, daughter of William and Samantha Current, who were among the pioneer settlers in Maquoketa. She was the last member of the family. She was married to Wellington Current on July 4, 1867, and the home was established in Maquoketa, where she has since resided.

Mrs. Current is survived by her daughter-in-law, eleven granchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Two sons, Fortis and George, preceded her in death, as did the husband and father.

The funeral service was held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon at the late home, the Rev. H. H. Dill officiating. Burial was made at Buckhorn cemetery.
